The Månafossen, which has a head of water of 92 meters, is the highest waterfall of Rogaland and the ninth highest of Norway.

There is a little car park, where you can pull in your car during the time of the hike. The walk up to the Månafossen is not long, but very steep and it can be very slick. Therefore, firm footwear, like hiking boots, is very important. On some parts of the well signposted way up, you will find holding chain links and timber stairs, which are needed for going up. After approximately 20 minutes, you reach the spectacular waterfall Månafossen and there you can enjoy the amazing view. That is definitely worth the arduous hike!
