Trolltunga is one of the most spectacular rock formations of Norway. The cliff rises about 700 meters above the barrier lake „Ringdaksvatnet“. From up there, you get an unique and stunning view of the surrounding nature.
The long and arduous hike to Trolltunga begins in Skjeggedal, leads through mountainous areas and takes about 10 – 12 hours (23,4 km). The difference in elevation is approximately 900 meters. There is a marked way that starts at the car park of Skjeggedal Trolltunga. You can do the hike from the middle of June to the middle of September, depending on when the snow melts. The hike is rather suitable for experienced walkers and requires good equipment. From the middle of March you can participate in guided tours by Trolltunga Active. The view that you get on the Trolltunga is spectacular and the hike will be an adventure for you that you will never forget.
